(Why do I learn Japanese?)

(Why...
Why...

(Is it anime?
Is it J-Drama?)

(Not because of those two.
Hmm...
I don't know
But one thing I know....Japanese is important
for me...
someday.)

Why do I learn Japanese?

Well, I don't really know. At first it was from my deep interest without any agenda behind it.

But then, learning language is quite important. It's kinda like a bonus.

Even the famous Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh masters 6 different languages, namely:
  • Arabic
  • Turkish
  • Greek
  • Latin
  • Persian;and
  • Hebrew
People asked, why not Mandarin, Indian, or Arabic(mostly ikhwah asked this one..haha)

Well then I asked, why must it be Mandarin, Indian or Arabic?

As a Muslim, Arabic is indeed important. Mandarin and Indian is important nonetheless. Because that's the other languages that are spoken in Malaysia.

Well, in terms of practicality, we can't really practice it in Malaysia. So, without practice, the language will slowly blown away from you.

Yeah, lots of drawbacks, I suppose.

I still think it is important to learn Japanese. But I can't rationalise why.

Not 'till today.

And I still wonder... Do we need to have reasons for everything?

I suppose so. We do need reasons

(I study Japanese)

For a number of reasons...

(Japanese is interesting)

2. Well, it may not be practical. And I can't regret what I've studied. Because for every situation, Allah has 1001 lessons and reasons. So, there must be a reason for it.

3. I am presuming it is a medium of da'wah for die hard anime and game fans. Even to the Japanese itself. Who wouldn't get excited and comfortable when someone is able to speak your mother tongue??

4. It is a learning process. Allah's knowledge is not limited to Arabic. It consists of every single language in this Earth. Getting to know other cultures reflects upon us and helps reducing prejudice.

"O mankind! We have created you from male and female and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know another..."
(51:13)
(^o^)v

5. There is something that I want to take from them. Their culture, their resilience, their motivations. Despite most of them being atheist... Why is their work ethics and culture is more Islamic? I wonder...

I don't know what else to write.

Speechless. There are millions of reasons in my head but I can't seem to be able to put it into words.

People question me. But I am what I am. I do what I want to do within shari'a framework and I finish what I've started.

It just doesn't feel right when you're stopping your journey half way.

It's just not me. And there's always a reason for me to do something. It's just un'express'able..
