It's YOU... always about YOU

I saw this picture on Facebook..

What do you have in mind when you look at it?

Well...

???

It's a good guideline isn't it?

But, is there any problem with this photo?

Hmm, I wonder.... :-/

Guideline/s and support is what you need to get you going.

But... let's look at this particular verse in the Qur'an.

"Verily, Allah will not change the good condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of goodness themselves."
(13:11)

Oooo... Snap~ >.<

So, what does this mean?

It means.....

Come on, I need an answer... !(^^)!

It means that change has to come from within...

It's about your cognitive perspective (psychological term for the way you think.)

In fact this cognitive thingy is what gets you going.

The way you perceive of yourself in the future, the way you look at yourself and so on.

Don't bother looking for what works best to change you...

Cos those things only works, given that you already have self conscious to change yourself.

Before looking for ways, look into yourself first.

If you don't want to change, don't blame your surroundings.
It's like you're trying to erect a house by using a stick instead of pillars and walls.

It won't stand.

I talked to some people...(anonymous...hehe)

I asked them, (simple example) "When will you get your weights down?"

And he answered,"When the time comes."

Ok, just so you know, "When the time comes" simply means when you decide to change.

If you don't decide to change, the so - called "When the time comes" will never come... even if you die, and live again.

And this applies to every changes that you want to make.

Make the "time" comes by making your attitude change.

Once you do that, then it's time to look for ways to help.

At this particular moment, the support will help you.

Even if you fall during your journey...

You will eventually rise back up again and continue your journey.

Once you decide to change, guidelines and support will facilitate

It helps you to channel your motivation in a right way.

It can be in any form, as long as it doesn't go against the shari'a framework.

"So ask to those who know (the experts) if you do not know (about something)."
(16:43)

To recap
  1. Change comes within yourself.
  2. You can have the best motivator, the best counselor, the  best therapist but it won't do you any good if you don't want to change.
  3. Search for your motivation to change.
  4. Then only you look for ways to make it happen.

Quoting Gandhi....

Be the change that you want to see in this world.

*Just my personal view and from what I've learned. Happy 55th Independence Day people. Lots of love from Adelaide to all Malaysians. A tribute to all the historical figures who went through such tribulations to gain independence.

I wonder, maybe they have developed the same motivations as well.. Just my two cents.. haha.

TOO LATE FOR TEARS~

Death knocked on

a bedroom door.
“Who is there?”
the sleeping one cried.
“I’m Angel Izrael, let me inside.”
At once, the man began to shiver
as one sweating in deadly fever.
He shouted to his wife,
“Don’t let the angel take my life.”
“O Angel of Death,
I’m not ready yet.
My family, on me depend,
give me a chance
to go back and mend.”
The angel knocked again.
“O man,
it’s your soul that I require,
I come not with my own desire.”
Bewildered, the men began to cry:
“O Angel, I’m so afraid to die.”
“Let me remain here as your slave,
don’t send me to the grave.”
“Let me in, O man,”the Angel said.
“Open the door,
get up from ur bed,
you can’t stop me from coming in,
Angels can go through objects,
thick and thin.
The men held a gun in his right hand,
ready to defy the Angel’s stand.
“I’ll point my gun towards your head
You dare come in – I’ll shoot you dead.
By now, the Angel was in the room,
Saying, “O man, prepare for your doom,
Foolish man – Angels never die,
put down your gun and do not sigh.
Why are you afraid – Tell me O man –
to die according to Allah’s plan?”
“O Angel, I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to remember Allah’s name.
From dawn till dusk, I made my wealth,
not even caring for my spiritual health.
Allah’s command I never obeyed,
nor five times a day I ever prayed.
A Ramadan came and
a Ramadan went,
but no time had i to repent.
The Hajj was already obligatory upon me,
but I would not part with my money.
All charities I did ignore,
taking usury more and more.
Sometimes I sipped my favourite wine,
with flirting women I set to dine.
O Angel I appeal to you,
spare my life for a year ok .
The Laws of of the qur’an, I will obey,
I’ll begin Salat – this very day.
My fast and hajj will complete
and keep away from self – conceit.
I will refrain from usury
and give all my wealth to charity
Wine and unlawful women,
I will detest,
Allah’s oneness I will attest.”
“We angels do what Allah demands,
we cannot go against His commands,
Death is ordained for everyone –
father, mother, daughter and son
I’m afraid, this moment is your last,
Now be reminded of your past.
I do understand your fears
but it is now too late for tears.
You lived in this world,
two score or more.
Your parents you did not obey,
hungry beggars you turned away.
Your two ill-mannered, female offspring,
in nightclubs, for livelihood they sing.
Instead of making more Muslims,
you made your children non-Muslims.
You ignored the Adhan
nor did you recite the Holy Qur’an.
Breaking promises all your life,
backbiting friends and causing strife.
From hoarded goods,
great profits you made,
and your poor workers –
you underpaid.
Horses and cards were your leisure,
money – making was your pleasure.
You ate and ate
and grew more fat,
with the very sick, you never sat.
A little donation, you never gave
that could a little baby save.
You thought
You’re clever and strong,
but O man,
you’ve done enough wrong.
Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
the disbeliever will dwell in hell.
There is no time for you to repent,
I’ll take your soul for which I am sent.”

P/S = Not of my genuine work. Let's make this Ramadan as our benchmark to prepare ourselves for the actual journey in the hereafter. がんばりましょう (Let's do our best!)
