What is the significant between Basketball and Lailatul Qadr???
Well, not that significant, I suppose. But there is... in a way.
Did you just asked 'How'? Well, isn't the hunt for Lailatul Qadr requires you to wake up 1/3 of every night and start making du'a to ask for forgiveness and other stuff?
Well, that IS significant, isn't it? Being better at basketball, not only because of your training, but it's because of whether Allah wills it or not.
No matter how much you've trained, if Allah do not wills it, then you won't be better in basketball.
As a Muslim, it's important to know that, "There is no other will and strength other than the help of Allah" (lahawlawala quwwata illa billah).
So, get up, make du'a.
If you desire to be better in basketball. You have to wake up at night, pray and make du'a to Allah cos He is closer to you at this very moment. If it hits Lailatul Qadr, than that's really great.
Cos you'll be in NBA in no time, hehehe.
What's wrong with just working out and doing drills?
That's the thing isn't it? That's the common mentality that WE, people who wants to improve their game have.
WE TEND TO FORGET ALLAH IN THIS MATTER!
WHY?! Wallah He is the One and only who provides you your dribbling, your crossover, your shooting and your quickness to drive to the basket.
We tend to forget the One who gave it to us.
It's a gift from Allah to make you a Qudwah to other people out there.
Let's look at a situation.....
When you give presents or gifts to someone, I bet you'll love the person more, than the gift itself, don't you agree with me?
The same goes to basketball skills.
It is gift to you from Allah. BY RIGHT, you should love Him more than basketball.
That's the way to go about it.
We should believe that these skills and attributes come from Allah.
Just asking from Allah alone, is not enough..
Yeah, so damn true. You have to work for it. You have to work on your game.
Allah wants to see your effort in this.
You got no effort, you got no game.
Cos if you do wake up at night and start praying and search for Lailatul Qadr...
I dare to guarantee that your workout, your drills for your game of basketball will take you to a higher level.
You have to.....
WORK + DU'A + TAWAKAL = DRAMATICALLY IMPROVED BASKETBALL PLAYER.
But don't just ask that and make it your priority.
Make it as something extra to ask from Allah during this last ten nights of Ramadan.
We still have time for that.
Let's Rebound and go for some fastbreak for Lailatul Qadr...
~ Salam Al-Qadr from me
(^o^)v
